The investigation concluded that Northern Diver’s 275N Lifejacket and Transit Suit have been found to be defective. Furthermore, it found that Northern Diver does not hold a valid conformity assessment certification for these products, in spite of such products being marketed as Marine Equipment Directive (MED) wheel marked equipment. As a result, the UK MCA issued a direction to Northern Diver to recall the 275N Lifejacket and Transit Suit and to cease placing them on the market.
