After gaining a great level of safety management training second to none with a blue chip organisation, I had always wanted to share my experience and knowledge in the wider marine industry to help make a difference to tanker and bulker safety across the globe.

Wyn set up AWP Marine Consultancy Ltd in 2010 following almost 10 years of employment within BP Shipping where he was exposed to diverse aspects of marine assurance across the group which further enhanced Wyn’s knowledge and experience to successfully develop an independent family Marine Consultancy business.

Since inception, the business has grown from strength to strength supported by the younger members of the Price family entering the business and following on the goals of the organisation.

The work Jon has put in place here has been a positive experience for AWP as we have combined the 45001 and 9001 standards into one management system giving the team at AWP more insight on health and safety in the workplace.

Jon is also working with the team to develop “AWPS”, our software system that is used by the inspectors and office staff for scheduling, invoicing, and statistics. Development is based on feedback from the clients, office team and inspectors.

We believe that communication is key to providing the very best service for our clients and contractors. Publishing newsletters on business developments, sharing inspectors first-hand experience and knowledge through LinkedIn and creating a safe space where people can provide AWP marine with feedback for improvement.

Jordan’s goal here is to give you the best possible service we can.

He is a lifelong supporter of Liverpool Football Club, following them around Europe and seeing them lift the European cup in Madrid, 2019.

As seen in the above picture Josh holds the St John’s ambulance emergency first aid certificate (EFAW/FAW) for health and safety in the workplace.

Josh is currently working alongside PMIT to develop his skills using POWER BI. This will help AWP track our performance and set further KPI’s to help improve the business. The stats Josh captured in 2020 during COVID have helped steer the business through tough times by identifying key areas of improvement.

Since 2010 both he and his partner Katie, together with Malcom (Katie’s Father) have spent all their free time on building their own equestrian centre. When they first started it was just marsh land and fields but with hard work, they have managed to create a place they can call their own. They now run very popular local shows at the facility as well as hosting world class dressage training.
