NorthStandard

What has changed?

There are numerous changes to the 2022 edition of the Code that members should be aware of, including replacement of the entire text with MSC.539(107), changes to existing schedules, twelve new cargo schedules and changes to the Code’s appendix 3.

Schedules removed from the code.

FISH MEAL (FISH SCRAP), STABILIZED UN 2216 Antioxidant treated has been removed and replaced by a new schedule - FISH MEAL (FISH SCRAP), STABILIZED Anti-oxidant treated. The cargo now is not classified as UN2216 as it was previously, however it is still a group B cargo. Therefore, to enable carriage of the cargo the vessel’s DOC will be require as it needs to be specifically listed as a group B cargo.
