Ship Inspection Report Exchange (SIRE)
AWP Marine Consultancy Ltd continues to play a major contribution to SIRE, both inspecting on behalf of 16 OCIMF members and also in the further development and improvements to the SIRE system itself. Capt Price being an OCIMF auditing inspector is able to share his experience and knowledge to enhance SIRE with the training of new inspectors on behalf of OCIMF and helping to ensure the quality of the SIRE program remains a leading tool for the industry. Our wealth of knowledge with our inspectors located across the globe enable us to provide locally based inspectors in key regions at a competitive price.
In order to ensure that vessels meet industry standards both physically and operationally, AWP are able to conduct pre-vetting inspections and share the experience of its inspectors to help operators identify areas of weakness or non-compliance prior to a SIRE. Our inspectors, almost all SIRE accredited are in an ideal position with key knowledge to identify the gaps and issues prior to ensure a successful SIRE. Whilst conducting pre vetting, AWP can further help identify areas of potential risk across an operator’s fleet to enhance the level of compliance for not just one vessel, but the fleet as a whole.
Flag State Inspections
Capt Price is an approved Malta flag state inspector and many of our inspectors approved for other flag state authorities throughout Europe. Preparation for flag state inspections can also be provided.
Barge Inspections (BIRE) and (EBIS)
AWP have been actively engaged in the development of the European Barge Inspection Report Exchange with OCIMF and have considerable experience and knowledge in conducting both BIRE’s within Europe and further afield. We are in a position to help owners prepare their vessels for both BIRE and EBIS inspections providing guidance and gap analysis where required.
Pre-Purchase / Delivery / Chartering Surveys
